The Maximum Bay Idle Time setting defines how long a bay can remain idle between services before PitCrew stops tracking the gap. This helps eliminate overly long idle windows from affecting daily service pacing and metrics.
Default Setting
15 minutes (can be customized per store).
Steps to Configure
- Navigate to Store Management using the left panel navigation and select Store Settings. Note: this feature is only visible on the desktop/laptop version of PitCrew.
- Locate the Maximum Bay Idle Time section
- Click the pencil icon to edit
- Enter your preferred max idle time (in minutes)
- Click the pencil icon again to save
Use Case
Adjust this setting if your bays routinely experience longer gaps due to low volume, technician availability, or scheduled breaks. This helps keep idle metrics accurate and relevant.
When a bay is idle for longer than the Maximum Bay Idle Time, it will display "Bay Not in Use."
